Nearing the Finish Line

  Well, we've nearly got the house listed.  We got the photos taken last night, and are planning an open house this Saturday.  The roof is on, everything that needed tweaking, fixing and cleaning has been done.  Things have been decluttered and the house is in better shape than it has been in YEARS.

  I'm hoping it sells quickly and we take away a decent profit.  It's in God's hands now, as it always was, and we'll see what happens next.

  I don't have a whole lot of time today so I just wanted to share a verse than came to me this morning.


John 1:12-13
12 Yet whoever obtained Him, to them He gives the right to become children of God, to those who are believing in His name,
13 who were begotten, not of bloods, neither of the will of the flesh, neither of the will of a man, but of God.

  The Bible makes it very clear that God's will is ALWAYS done.  Man's will is not free, nor is it sovreign.  Religious people frequently talk about when they chose to become a Christian, or a disciple, or whatever term they call themselves.  True believers in Christ know that it was not they who chose God, but God who chose them.  Even our faith is not ours but given to use by God.

  This is what it means to be begotten of God.
